About SANGDOUX

Navigating life with diabetes

SANGDOUX was created as a calm, thoughtful space for anyone navigating life with diabetes — a place where information feels human, stories feel familiar, and guidance is rooted in real experience.

We explore the practical, the emotional and the everyday moments that shape life with a chronic condition. From understanding blood sugar patterns to finding comfort in small rituals, from the science of self-management to the softer side of community, SANGDOUX aims to bring clarity without overwhelm, warmth without sentimentality and support without judgement.

Our intention is simple: to educate, to connect, and to empower.

To offer grounded, trustworthy content that sits comfortably within the realities of everyday life.

The meaning behind the name

SANGDOUX stems from the French sang doux — “sweet blood.”
It represents the pursuit of balance: not perfection, but steadiness, resilience and a sense of control in a world that doesn’t always make things easy.

This pursuit is shared by people living with Type 1 diabetes (there are more than 400,000 in the UK), and by the many millions living with Type 2, gestational diabetes, LADA and other forms of the condition. It also resonates with those who, while not diagnosed, simply want to understand their bodies better and make informed, compassionate choices about their health.

Our commitment

We are committed to supporting anyone on this journey — whether you live with insulin-dependent diabetes, another form of the condition, or you’re simply striving for a healthier, more informed life.

Through education, community and a sense of gentle connection, SANGDOUX hopes to make living with diabetes feel less isolating, less overwhelming and more human.
This is a space shaped by curiosity, compassion and a belief that everyone deserves reliable guidance and a place they feel seen.
